  • We started late. Some players arrived late, so the first serve went about 20 minutes behind, and some teams stepped on court without a real warm-up.
  • The round robin kept time. Once it started, five rounds took about two hours.
  • The bracket ran long. Best-of-3 matches averaged about 49 minutes, roughly twice a single game.
  • Scores went into the app courtside, and the bracket moved on as soon as each match was entered.

We planned this event for 16 teams. What we planned, what changed with six, and what we'd do differently are in our guide: how to run a volleyball tournament.

Next: Sunday, November 8

The next RNKD Coed 6s is on Sunday, November 8, 2026, in Pontiac again: coed 6v6, at least two women on court. One change from this event: bracket matches are a single game, and only the final is best of 3. See the November 8 event and register.
